Maneesh Sharma, the director of FAN feels SRK deserves a national award for his acting in the movie.
Maneesh Sharma opens up saying that everyone praised SRK's acting in FAN and is even critically acclaimed. SRK lived up to standards of those critics who were questioning his acting. The people too loved his dual roles especially of 'Gaurav Chandna', his biggest and craziest fan turning to his biggest enemy.
"The movie was unlike what SRK has done in the recent past. Movie was totally non-commercial with no songs and heroines and that is what expected from YRF-SRK Combination."
