What Went Wrong with FAN

A critical analysis on what actually went wrong with FAN

Hey peeps! We all are quite disappointed with how FAN has been performing at the boxoffice but the fact that FAN was one EPIC movie succumbs all the disappointment. Despite being one of the BEST movie of 2016, FAN failed to perform at the boxoffice as it was expected. Here's my critical analysis on what actually went wrong and if you think there's some other reason, please comment so that i could add here.

1) Audience - First thing First... It's the audience that always count. Success of a movie depends on the number of audience visiting the theater. Apparently, Indian audience is a bit hesitant to changes and new things which clearly has proved with limited audience that went to watch the movie. FAN is a movie with no songs, no PJ's, not much entertainment preferred by the single screen audience. FAN is very different from typical Bollywood movies that contain some item songs, some unrealistic fight sequences and some other unrealistic stuff. FAN is an exception and this exception wasn't accepted by the Indian audience. Let me tell you, the same movie FAN is very much appreciated and viewed across INDIA.

2) Limited Promotions - FAN had a limited promotions in comparison to previous SRK releases. Well some of the people still don't know when the movie released. YRF actually thought that content would speak up, but the fact movie being watched by only class fans failed to promote FAN. For the success of a movie, both class and mass fans contribution is necessary so as to maintain the balance.

3) Piracy -  Piracy has become a major hindrance for success of any movie. And with the rising piracy, many movies fail to collect what they deserve. Particularly during FAN, piracy escalated to a great level with many torrent links made available with quality print and also FAN being played on many local channels. And FAN being a suspense thriller, people didn't feel to watch it again after viewing it on channels or after downloading them.
